Hip Hop Stroke™is a modular multimedia school-based stroke education program. This program uses Hip Hop music, animated musical cartoons (see video clips, below), a comic book, and video games developed in collaboration with a well-known Hip Hop artist and Emmy-winning childrens' television producers (formerly of Sesame Street) to teach preadolescent boys and girls important stroke concepts, including stroke localization, stroke symptom recognition, and to immediately call 911 when stroke is suspected. Participating children are then motivated to transfer key stroke information to their parents and caregivers through a child-mediated conduit procedure.
